2026年度高校スピーチコンテストを実施しました
本校の英語教育では、「基礎＋アウトプット」を大切にしています。
中学ではレシテーションコンテストに取り組んでおり、全員が予選に参加します。暗誦用の文章をサンプルのなかから選び、選ばれた各クラスの代表者が校内で行われるコンテスト本戦に出場します。ひとつのスピーチを自分の言葉として発表することで、英語の表現力を養います。
また、高校で行うスピーチコンテストでは、英語でエッセイを書き、各学年から選ばれたファイナリスト３名が校内コンテストに出場。ファイナリストはネイティブ教員からマンツーマンで指導を受け、本番に臨みます。コンテストはすべて英語で進行され、外部から招かれたネイティブ講師がジャッジを担当します。
今年度のスピーチコンテストには、8名の生徒が出場しました。それぞれが自分の思いや考えを英語で伝えるために、原稿作成から発音、イントネーション、表現の仕方まで、何度も練習を重ねて本番に臨みました。
大勢の人の前で英語のスピーチをすることは、決して簡単なことではありません。緊張しながらも、最後まで堂々と自分の言葉を届けようとする8名の姿は、とても頼もしく感じられました。また、練習を重ねる中で、日に日に表現が豊かになり、自信をつけていく姿も印象的でした。
今回の経験は、英語力だけでなく、自分の考えを相手に伝える力や、一つの目標に向かって努力する力を伸ばす貴重な機会となりました。
8名の皆さん、本当によく頑張りました。この経験を自信に変え、これからもさまざまなことに挑戦してくれることを期待しています。
